About the Dojo
The Kodenkan Center offers an array of martial arts for the Tucson community, with courses for children and adults. It is an affiliate of the Kodenkan Yudanshakai — one of the oldest martial arts organizations in Tucson, Arizona.
Martial arts are excellent means of improving one's physical and mental well-being. Safety is our prime consideration. Walk in any time — our doors are open to all skill levels.
What We Offer
Adult & Advanced
A modern martial arts style with practical self-defense techniques — emphasis on throwing and grappling. The adult/advanced jujitsu class meets Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:00–6:30 pm.
InquireAdults 55+
Martial arts tailored for adults 55 and older. Every Wednesday 10–11 am.
Ages 7+
Basic martial arts and physical conditioning with emphasis on discipline, patience, focus, and respect. Family/junior class meets Tuesdays 4:30–5:30 pm.
Ages 4–6
A fun, healthy outlet for young children's energy. Tuesdays 5:00–5:30 pm.
By Invitation
Japanese sword techniques. Meets 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month, Noon–1:30 pm. By invitation only.

Continues a tradition of more than 30 years of Aikido practice in Tucson.
Classes in Japanese Jujitsu & Judo for ages 7–70+, and Okinawan Karate for ages 13–70+.
